Gloriamus Philharmonia was founded in January 2003 as Gloriamus Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Maestro Adidharma with the purpose of becoming a centre for young people who are learning about classical music – as quality music – to perform international standard concerts.
In its development, Gloriamus Philharmonia has performed various activities as well as concerts which can spur members’ enthusiasm for learning. Members of Gloriamus.Philharmonia are required to be able to play fairly challenging or difficult pieces which require a long period of practice to be able to play well.
Members of Gloriamus Philharmonia consist mostly of students and teaching staff of Gloriamus Music School who are committed to performing the best in each of their concerts.

Concerts Performed :

January 2003
Under conductor Maestro Adidharma, Gloriamus Philharmonia performed its debut concert, playing Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 Opus.23 in Bb minor with Dr. Myrna Setiawan as the soloist at Gedung Kesenian Jakarta (Jakarta Performing Arts Hall).

June 17, 2006
In celebration of the 15th anniversary of Gloriamus, Gloriamus Philharmonia under conductor Ferdinand Suganda presented a concert at Atmajaya University Auditorium, Jakarta, playing Haydn’s Piano Concerto Hob. XVIII : 11 with Evelyn Zaneta as the soloist. Other pieces presented were Vivaldi’s Violin Concerto Opus. 3 No. 6 with Calvin Wijaya as the soloist and Bach’s Violin Concerto E Major BWV1042 with Aditya Kartaraharja as the soloist.

Gloriamus Philharmonia performed its mid-year concert under conductor Ferdinand Suganda under the supervision of Maestro Adidharma at Goethe Institute, Jakarta, playing Grieg’s  Piano Concerto in A minor Opus 16 with Fabiola Chianiago as the soloist, and Sarasate’s Zigeunerweisen Opus 20 with Henry Terahadi as the soloist.. 

June 2007
Under the baton of Prof. Andre de Quadros (USA), Gloriamus Philharmonia accompanied the Music Camp, periodically organized by Bandung Choral Society,  presenting Vivaldi’s Gloria,  J.S.Bach’s Magnificat in D BWV 243 and Handel’s Dettingen Te Deum.

June 14, 2009
Gloriamus Philharmonia in the Mid-year Concert of Gloriamus Music School presented a concert at the IPEKA International Grand Chapel, Meruya, playing Massenet’s Meditation from Thais with Astrid Olivia as the soloist, Vivaldi’s Four Seasons : Winter with Aditya Kartarahardja as the soloist, and Vivaldi’s Concerto in A minor with Levana Jocelyn Limoa as the soloist.

Years 2008, 2009, 2010
Gloriamus Philharmonia under the direction of Helen Hosana was actively involved in ecumenical worship services of GKY Synod, such as the ordination of pastors, the celebration of the New Year on January 1, and the celebration of the 65th anniversary of GKY Synod. 

January 31, 2010
At the inauguration of the Building of GKY Music Centre, Green Ville, Gloriamus Philharmonia presented M. Czardas’ Flute Concerto with Harry Winanto as the soloist and Ferdinand Suganda as the conductor.

Gloriamus Faculty Concert: Gloriamus Philharmonia presented J.B. Accolay’s Concerto in A minor, with Levana Jocelyn Limoa as the soloist.

November 27, 2010
Gloriamus Philharmonia and Greenville Christian Singers (GCS) under conductor Ndaru Darsono presented Handel’s Oratorio “The Messiah”, Part I.
